Handbuch für Lehrer – Ideen, Angebote und Hilfsmittel zur Förderung der Kreativität bei Schülern und einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Thema „Zivilcourage“ für Lehrer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Inhalte des Buches
Das Handbuch richtet sich an Lehrer aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Neben den Erfahrungsberichten aus dem CreatLearn Projekt werden kreative Lernmethoden und Lernaktivitäten dargestellt, die als Anregung dienen, das Thema Zivilcourage auf kreative Weise zu unterrichten. Es sind dazu Kontaktdaten von Künstlern und ihren verschiedenen Angeboten zu Kooperationsprojekten mit Schulklassen sowie von gemeinnützigen Organisationen, die sich mit dem Thema Zivilcourage in ihrer täglichen Arbeit beschäftigen, angegeben. Die am Projekt beteiligten Künstler möchten vor allem die Schüler ermutigen etwas Kreatives auszuprobieren und so ihr Selbstbewusstsein stärken. Sie arbeiten dazu außerhalb der Schule in einer anderen Lernumgebung oder auch in der Schule gemeinsam mit dem Lehrer in einer anderen kreativen Atmosphäre. Darüber hinaus sind Kontaktdaten zu Partnerschulen für Schüleraustausche mit Schulen im Projekt beteiligten Schulen aus Dänemark, Litauen und Schweden enthalten.

Contents of the handbook for teachers
This handbook is targeted at teachers from Mecklenburg Western Pomerania. It is a collection of CreatLearn school project experiences, creative learning tools and methods on how to teach the topic civil courage in creative ways. These are completed with contact details and various offers from artists who are open for cooperation projects with school classes and NGOs who deal with the topic civil courage everyday. Their daily life is creative education and they all have the same target. They want to encourage students and foster their self-confidence by not teaching them in their everyday school life BUT teaching them in a creative way, taking them to different learning environments or come into school and support teachers in a different way of teaching. This handbook is a practical toolkit giving teachers hints for hands-on activities with their pupils and tips on who they could cooperate with from outside the school. It also includes contact information of the involved schools from Denmark, Lithuania and Sweden for possible school exchange.

The project CreatLearn draws to a close and here you find our fourth and last newsletter. We started in January 2012 and now, in December 2013, we can look back on two years of successful work in developing new methods using culture for better learning and support of young people’s creativity in schools.

All the experiences from the project and descriptions of the various sub-projects are now gathered in our Inspiration Book: “Teaching courage” We hope that this book will provide inspiration for all of you educators, cultural workers or decision makers, but perhaps more than anything else that it will give you some concrete ideas about how to develop: CREATIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS

CreatLearn is a two year EU-project within the South Baltic program with partners from Guldborgsund-Denmark, Klaipeda-Lithuania, Rostock-Germany and Kalmar-Sweden.The aim of the project is to develop methods for using culture in schools to reach learning objectives. Pupils, teachers and culture experts have been working together with film, theatre, music, art and other cultural expressions focused on the common theme civil courage.

One way to make students’ voices heard and to share learning from the project is the postcard campaign going on right now with the message below. The cards, which show images from all parties and student voices from all countries will be sent to 100s of politicians and other decision makers dealing with school issues to show the strength of the project and the internationalization of all cooperation.

Pupils voices on CreatLearn:

“To learn in a different way means thinking in a different way.”

”We have experienced, that we can communicate about serious topics in various new

languages: Art and German.”

“The world is colourful – together we are strong.”

“Funny life goes on at school – it‘s a great pleasure to learn together and take part in

favourite activities, especially when teachers understand and help us.”

The project will be summarized in a joint inspiration book with toolkits, to be used by teachers, school leaders, politicians and other stakeholders. The inspiration book will be distributed digitally, along with the project’s fourth and last newsletter in December 2013.
